Excerpts of Things I Will Never Say
By: Nagham AB
"You loved me, I became beautiful." "Deception… that is what life is about. We deceive people into thinking we are humane, but who are we kidding? We are the monsters under our children’s beds; the monsters inside their closets, hanging on by a thread between our wild thoughts that are clouding our actions." "All I wanted was to be loved like Poe loved his Lee, Like William Shakespeare loved his poetry." "By that time, the sun had already set. It was dark and gloomy as I turned my bike around and had a lonely ride home. That was the last time I rode a bike." Nagham AB was born in 1994 and raised in Tira, Israel, with three sisters and three close cousins. A graduate of Bar-Ilan University with a BA in English Literature, Nagham speaks four languages: Arabic, Hebrew, English and Spanish. She is currently working towards an MA in American Studies at Tel Aviv University.
