Eight Candles Burning Bright: A Scary Hannukah Tale (Short story standalones) "Eight Candles Burning Bright" is a spooky short story taking place during the eight days of Hannukah 1998 in a small town in rural USA. Rocked by impending loss, Noah and his grandparents are unprepared for the malevolent forces stalking this unsuspecting town. This story was originally published in "Welcome to Simmins, Detective Spencer" edited by Chapel Orham, a collaborative winter-themed horror-mystery anthology. My story adds a bit of my own heritage including Jewish motifs and Hannukah lore. It can be enjoyed on its own, but I recommend reading the anthology as well.
