Gemara Talmud Makkot
Masechet Makkot is the tractate of the Talmud that deals with conspiring witnesses, cities of refuge and other court administered punishments. It is an excellent tractate with which to begin Talmud learning and consists of 46 pages (23 daf / double sided pages). This first ever English “Tzurat HaDaf” Talmud is aimed at learners who have not reached the level of Hebrew and Aramaic to be able to study from the original text, but who would like to learn the Talmud at the highest level. The Talmud includes the commentaries of Rashi, Tosefot and Rabbeinu Chananel in plain English, and opposite the matching page in Hebrew. An ideal Talmud for Daf Yomi or for an in depth shiur, students without Hebrew can now prepare the whole daf (page) by referencing the Rashi and Tosefot at the side of the page as they learn through the central text.
